Class Schedule & New Student Orientation
Class Schedule
These noncredit classes are held Monday through Thursday from 8:30am to 12:30pm (16 hours per week), with an additional 2 hours for students on F-1 visas. Students have access to additional English practice in the computer lab using our New Dynamic English software, the instructor-led language lab, or by participating in outside classroom activities. Maximum group enrollment is 15 students, but the average class size is 8 to 10 students. Some courses require Friday classes due to College holidays.
New Student Orientation
Please plan on attending three pre-scheduled events that will answer many questions you may have about the program:
1. First Day Orientation (MANDATORY FOR ALL STUDENTS):
- When: The afternoon of the first day of your program
- Time: 1:00-2:00pm
- Location: Check the TV monitor for room number
- Purpose: Tour the Sand Lake Center, Program Overview, Question & Answer Session
2. New Dynamic English Computer Software Training (MANDATORY FOR ALL F-1 STUDENTS):
- Day: The afternoon of the first Tuesday of your program
- Time: 1:00-3:00pm
- Location: Room 1-102
- Purpose: Account Set-Up & Program Training
3. F-1 Student Interview with the Intensive English Coordinator (MANDATORY FOR ALL F-1 STUDENTS):
- Day & Time: Will be given at the Mandatory Orientation on the first day of class
- Bring: Your original visa, passport, I-94 documentation and a copy of your health insurance
- Purpose: Register in SEVIS & receive a new copy of your I-20
Note: Not reporting to the coordinator may have a negative impact on your visa status.
