What is the difference between Valencia Community College's English for Academic Purposes (EAP) classes and CGL's Conversational English classes?

Educational Goals: Students seeking a degree. Improve English to communicate in the real world, get a job, move up in their job, or pass the LOEP to get into the EAP program.
Assessment Process & Entry Requirements: Meet required minimum scores in either the TOEFL or the LOEP test. See Valencia Course Catalog for more details. Five levels are offered. Oral evaluation by phone. Nine levels are offered, from low beginner to high advanced.
Application Process:  Complete Valencia International Application and pay $35.  Space is  limited.  Students can apply online. There is no application fee for students, except those requesting F-1 student visas.  To register, call 407-582-6688.
International Student Documentation Requirements: Those which are needed to obtain an F-1 student visa. None are required.
Is financial aid or payment plans available for these classes?

Valencia does not offer financial aid or payment plans for its non-credit courses.

Do you offer F-1 student visas?

CGL will issue I-20s to students who register in our Intensive English Program for 10-weeks or longer.

How do I register once I have the results of the Oral Evaluation?

You may register by phone, fax, mail, or in person at the Client Service Center, located at 2411 Sand Lake Road.  For more information, go to:  Register for Classes

What do I need to bring with me if I am not a U.S. citizen?

The Center for Global Languages no longer requires proof of legal status in the United States to take a course unless you are an F-1 visa applicant.
